Using my interstage transformer in a parafeed arrangement, I have run into another problem. Even though DC is not allowed to flow through the transformer, low frequency transients seem to cause saturation of the core, clipping the signal.I looked up the Lundahl site, and found that they incorporate a small air gap in their interstage transformers, even in the single-ended to push-pull applications.
Any suggestions as to the size of this air gap, or how to calculate it?
Thanks,
Viren.
