Amorphous Core question?

Dear all,
I know that amorphous core in transformer is great, but is it beneficial to single-ended design?
If yes, I intend to upgrade the output transformer of my WOT line preamp using WE437a tube to LL1689 amorphous version (single-ended, say, 22ma current).
Any information/advice is appreciated. Thanks.
