Voltage Limit for RAKK DAC

Dave and/or Kevin,
Looking around at BIG batteries I notice most of them, fully charged, have 13 volts. Will this be a problem? Should some shunt resistor be used to bring the volatage down?
I have found that the big OPTIMA batteries have an internal resistance of .0025 ohms, much lower than the graphs indicate for the supply suggested by Mr. Horneman. I have no idea how this compares to the MINIMAL REACTANCE supply, but it seems pretty hard to beat. I would think a cap bank (BLACK GATES?) would perfect this approach.
But most importantly will the extra volt do any harm to the board?
