there is no real market to speak of at the moment. Most audiophiles I know...and respect have not even heard of the concept. Those that have are on the fringes of the audiophile fringe. I suspect there will be massive opposition from the SACD/DVD-A crowd..suprisingly big group of fans...for what surely must be (as Kevin Carter so aptly put it in a PM) a transient format.The next big thing will be solid state...a 300$ Ipod as the ultimate transport.. ;-) semi joke.
current RAKK dac owners will have their DAC quite a few years...so if you come up with a USB/spdif converter...and I've still not bought/made one myself...I'll still be a possible client.
To be sure..what do you want to know if there is a market for..usb->spdif or USB DAC?
