The only issue I am aware of is the primary inductance issue. Without any data I would guess that the 70mA version would have 5 or so times less primary inductance than the PP version.There are those in the P-P world who would argue that the increased linearity of the gapped transformer would result in better sound so long as your bass requirements can be met with the primary inductance available.
