Typically a 3K-5K primary is used for 2A3s and a 5K primary for 45s, so you could use the following depending on your speaker load:LL1663/50mA 5K:8ohm
LL1682/50mA 5.5K:5ohm
LL1620/60mA 6K:4, 8, or 16ohm; also available in amorphous core (AM) or
3.3K:4, 8 or 16ohmI haven't personally experimented with SE amorphous core outputs, but I hear from the Italian Lundahl distributor that the results are much like those with P-P transformers. After an extended break-in period, the sound takes on a less "hi-fi" character, with more apparent and deeper bass, better sense of space and air, and better microdynamics. One wouldn't really expect such a thing from a significantly gapped transformer, where the gap dominates the magnetic properties of the core, but apparently it is still so.
