To everyone that use Lundahl's iron,Since Lundahl's iron are mounted according to the way it was contructed, I have found in my case that the height of the chasis may (only may) sometimes be a factor in your layout and contructions design.
For example, my chasis is 3 inch height, I was using LL1660. When I try to test the LL1654, it cannot be fited properly into the 3 inch chasis because it is too tall. This has stopped me at that point to try out other OPT. (as I may need to rebuilt the whole pre-amp in order to try out other OPT).
Luckily later I use an L shape mount to hold the LL1654 and thus be able to mount it using the same chasis. i.e. the LL1654 is mounted onto the L shape metal and then the L shape meter mount onto the chasis.
The same will happen to others like the LL1683, the small size power transformer which I very much like to try. Again it is too tall. Can't fit into a 3 inch chasis.
Do you guys have this problem ? It would be nice if Lundahl can produce some fancy L shape mounter !!! Any comments.
Alan
