Hi Seb,
Regarding the Denon 103, which I also use, with transformer step-ups, I would suggest you aim for 500 to 1000 ohms as seen by the cartridge, that sounds good in my experience. Other users' experience differs, but many have settled on something in this range. This would equate to 50K to 100K load on the transformar secondary if you were using a 1:10 step-up, for example .Mark
