Step-up grounding

I'm using a pair of the Lundahl MC step-ups with a nearly complete Octal Cornet. I understand the earth ground on the output side and the connection of the (-) terminal to the PCB ground, but should the negative terminal of the RCA jacks on the input side also be grounded in addition to being connected to the (-) input of the transformer?
