I agree with Jeff concerning the grid stoppers and the input resistor. You can dispense with the cathode bypass cap on the input stage, unless you need the additional gain. I'm betting that it will sound better without it. Be sure to bias the 5687 filament to a DC voltage value between the two cathodes, assuming that both of the triodes shown will be from the same envelope.I will interested to hear how this comes out.
