I, of course, have very little understanding of how to implement transformers. That is why I am asking for your help.I would like to implement input transformers so I can use a balanced connection between a line stage and the amplifiers and for noise reduction.
If it would be possible to also use the transformers to match a woofer and a midrange without using any, or, at least, as much L-pad attenuation it seems this would be advantageous.
Would any of the LUNDAHL transformers be good for this? Would the LL1544A work? Would the 2:1 connection for the midrange and the 1:1 connection for the woofer do what I want? What would the "gain" difference be between these two connections?
I greatly appreciate your help.
