I too have one that was put together by Kevin Carter. Mine is phono stage only with a built-in VTC (transformer volume control) and outboard power supply. I use this directly to my amp in my vinyl only system. I have been using it for about 6 months. I sent the power supply back to Kevin 2 months ago to put a tubed rectifier in the power supply. The result is better in my system. Overall, this phono stage is superbly built, the sound is very well balanced. Most tubed phono stages are too tubey and most ss phono stages are too sold state sounding. This unit has found the right balance between the two. I love it.
