I really need to sit down and do some dB calcs, but there are always a few pitfalls. I should use try to get the gain value for Thorsten's circuit as a start point.
I'm hoping a couple of things will help :
(a) I don't need to get to full power output right now for the sort of listening I do
(b) I was going to try variants on the front end of the Amity, perhaps using something like Gary Pimm's later 47PP variants, where the transformer input is not used. I just want to get this running in a representative version in the next couple of months.
I still would like to come out of the phono/line via a transformer to get a balanced connection & input to the Amity. Will be getting some 1544a or 1676 soon, or the new one Kevin mentioned ( 1685 ?)Mark
