Hi Bill
Speaking of subwoofers.
Here are some comparative measurements of some popular sub woofers, including the ContraBass from WSR.http://www.salon-digital.de/particles/paradocs/r111/tactile/www_bass/wsr_sub_comparison.html
Unfortunately as we don't advertise in the magazine I didn't know the review was being done or I would have corrected the
errors they made on the ContraBass.
For one, it has no Xmax (only a practical limit set by the suspension) and secondly can use much more than 300 Watts
although for a long term situation (like industrial sound cancellation) 300W is the correct rating. Two of these in a living room can be humorous as in you can make someone jump out of there chair if desired with surprisingly little power.
12 of these in a room with 2 foot thick concrete walls at Aberdeen proving grounds can induce shell shock ( a system
designed by Dr. Patronis for the military).Loud and Clean too
TD
