Poo-pooing other speakers is not good - it was not my intent. What I wanted to say, was that too short a horn approaches direct radiator in its performance. So there will be bass, even very deep bass, but to deliver musicality, the horn has to be long. Mine - inspired by Edgar's Seismic - goes down flat to 35HZ and is 98 inches long. I built similar sub for Cy Brenneman and the performance is amazing. It is true - I didn't hear the BLH. But I heard similar and none of them could beat a true horn sub in terms of sheer musicality.
