Volume Control Stepped Motor Attenuator Issue

My Basie pre (Aikido design) has recently developed a minor issue with the volume control - Even with the volume control turned all the way down, the signal level does not get attenuated completely. Was working correctly before, but recently developed this issue.

Any ideas/suggestions where should be looking for to correct this nit ?
