I am not complaining just wondered if there was a solution.

I have got some higher voltage caps (surplus ADCOM, computer style) and will be giving them a try very cautiously!

I wrote wrongly in my mote, the most seriously distorted cap was not near the transformer, though that one was on its way. The positive voltage supply is ont he other side of the board.

I am driving a horn subwoofer which does not require much power. Maybe the package is just too small and there is a heating problem?

Same caps in both versions. I would think they were built at very different times. That would be a lONG run of bad caps. One wonders if they are fakes?

I was hoping some other users of this would let me know of their experience.
