Django+ AVC - phase inverting??

I've had my "Le Club" assembled Django AVC for one week now and have logged about 100 hours on it during break-in. This is a VERY clean and precise sounding control unit. However, something had been "bugging" me and I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Yesterday I tried reversing phase at the speaker connections and now things seem to be much more "solid".
Can this unit possibly be inverting phase?
ps: I don't have a wiring diagram for the Django.
