RE: Lux without a Preamp

I saw Brian driving the Lux with the Satch via a TVC, but for a stepped attenuator, the case if different. A stepped attenuator does not match the impedance as good as a TVC, so the driving power of the source would need to be very good. Most CD players or DACs do not match well with the Lux with a stepped attenuator alone without an active preamp.

Ella is different, it has higher gain.
