thanks for reporting your experience. For the record, the amount of adjustment of the DC out voltage relates to the amount of AC voltage headroom. As you don't have enough input AC voltage the amount of adjustability on the output is limited. when your Hammond transformers arrive and you have more input voltage you'll find that there will be a greater range within which you can adjust the DC output voltage.
