The hum was gone when I turned it on again. Capacitor burn-in perhaps?

I listened to a few Diana Krall songs twice last night In Ultralinear and Trode mode, there are different advantages to each. Just voice and piano was glorious in triode but it seemed to lose something when things became complicated. I may try the Genalex KT88.
I'm considering putting a center-off double throw switch in the negative feedback, so I can pick it from 8 ohm, or 4 ohm for half the feedback, or none.
This amp is so clean and clear I'm starting to see the shortcomings of my DAC.

I haven't put in the screen diodes, mainly because I don't understand exactly how they should work.
