Hi Phil
1. black + short gray/orange to supply the filament supply (7.5v AC). Long + short of orange or gray pr is 5V
2. It is 200 + 200 = 400 so yes you need the short purple pr as the manual says.
3. the 0.47r is to adjust input ACv to the filament supply according to line conditions. p16. We don't want any more than ACv than necessary or it will just be dissipated as heat.
