Hi all,

I'm the proud owner of the Lady Day 91+ amps and the Django preamp. But I need some help making everything work.

I built the Django first and it works wonderfully. And the sound is incredible.

However, I'm having problems with the Lady Day amps. The instruction manual has several inconsistencies and gaps, which I did my best to fill in. I also bought the Tent Labs heaters, which aren't really covered in the manual.

So, here's where I'm at:

The amps work, but what comes out is half hum, half music.

Measuring voltages inside (with no tubes inserted, per the instructions)...

The Tent Labs module is taking 5v AC in and outputting 15v DC in one amp, and 7v DC in the other. What could be causing this? (Turning the adjustment screw doesn't lower the output voltage.)

The AC voltage across pins 2 and 8 of the rectifier is 0v on both amps.

I posted an image here showing the wiring. The wires going to pins 1 & 4 of the 300b socket might be wrong because I didn't use the 27 ohm resistors (because I have the Tent Labs units).

I'm eager to hear everything in full splendor, of course, and I'm worried that Brian is tired of trying to help me on his own. ;P

Thanks!
Rob
