I've long been thinking to get an AP setup. They come up on Ebay for about $5000USD. Do you know which AP system was used?
The bandwidth of -2db, 15hz - 40khz looks about right for the amorphous at low power (1w).
THD: Just to compare, my distortion meter (not in same class as AP, but seems to correlate to known distortion numbers well enough) measures for the LD91: 0.92%/1w and 10%/10.5w. The distortion also changes with changing the voltage/current across the tube even at the same dissipation. Playing with more or less V/A is interesting and also gives a different sound.
But did you follow the recent discussion in DIY audio about how SET distortion measurements through a resistor are misleading? Very interesting the poster showed when driving a real speaker there is distortion cancelling with SET so that net distortion is actually lower than push pull SS.
