EML has a history of quality issues.I have KR300B XLS and it is quiet and sounds v.good top to bottom.My regular EMLs died after a few hundred hours which still pisses me off after a couple years. To be fair I stupidly bought them as NOS from a-Gon for close to retail but no warranty. Also stay away from NOS globe 45's -don't even ask how I know-I could almost have a nice amp from Brian for what I lost on those tube ;0( .
