Hi Brian,

You've mentioned replacing the anode lytics (decouplers?) for the EF86 with film... Have you also tried replacing the cathode bypass with film? On second thought, I suspect the cathode cap's value would be too high as to prohibit the use of film due to film's large physical size etal... If there is too much gain in the system can the input pentode's cathode bypass cap be omitted without further changes to optimize performance? Thank you.
