thanks for the report. wow, those newer OPTs are big!
I doubt my ella would benefit as much.. i'm running triodes into 101dB sensitive speakers, so don't need the big cores for power.

have you tried different taps for your b&w 802s? i found that the 4ohm tap works much better with the b&w's that i have.

don't worry about that power transformer (the toroidal version).. that thing can take a lot of extra current.
