The Cole phono pre-amp

I am about to order the Django supermalloy TVC, and the Cole LCR phono pre. I am also building my Ampex 440 tape machine and thinking of using another Cole for the tube playback on the Ampex. A tape playback is just like a phono section but with a different EQ. What do you think about this applicatio Brian?
