The Quad 2 and ESL 57 are a very sweet combination and designed to work together. If the panels you refer to could work with Quad 2s then the Joplin might have a borderline chance to work but would have ~3db less headroom. I've heard parallel SE 300B driving ESL57 and the Quad2 sound better.
But the designer of the speakers mentioned stresses current ability; if they are current hungry then not so suitable for tube amps. i couldn't find any details about impedance or efficiency ratings.
