so you are talking about the bias supply components here? I'd use the crees on the high-voltage supply first, if you haven't done that. The bias supply doesn't need 600V piv diodes, but they'll work. I just kept the half-wave rect. and used a 100V schottky there, then used a small choke in there as well. The bias supply draws so little current that its really easy to filter, even with half-wave. no experience with black gates.
try a CCS on the 6sn7 tail if you want more ideas for improvement.
