Hello,

I tried the Ella mod recommended by Graham O'Neill a few days ago. I used the Cree 600V schottky diodes, 2 blackgate 470u 100v caps and a IAG terminal strip. Since the blackgates are big, I had to connect them to the terminal strip, along with the 220R.

The results were very impressive: much more treble detail and an increase of presence in live recordings. There is some tendency to the analytic that may bother some (sometimes I could hear the singer spitting, touching the mike, etc).

I have to recommend this mod as well. It was one of the most impressive changes I made, comparable to changing wire to kimber tcss, or volume control to a vishay stepped attenuator. The differences were more noticeable than going triode mode.

Many thanks to Graham O'Neill for this impressive mod.
