CCs driver as upgrade?

Hello everybody, especially Brian,

how comes that suddenly the driver for LD is changed without any comment somewhere here in the forum? Is it available as an upgrade for the old version, also for the MU-driver?? And what does it change sonically?
Many questions, but I'm really curious and can't find any information around.
