Signature version is in the works. Planning for a polished corian plinth (great material, dead but not lifeless).
Here you can see the approach for the motor pod. Turned from a solid slug of stainless steel. The cover screws from the top to give solid coupling to the bottom. The motor is coupled by it's own mounting screws to the cover as well as the threaded tube that fits over the motor body and clamps the motor body tight to the cover. The idea is to mass load the motor to damp vibrations in the same way an auto engine runs much smoother when driving the mass of the vehicle than at the same revs unloaded. The pod weighs 5kg so soaks up a lot of vibrational energy before it starts vibrating.
As some will ask: no firm price yet but these bits cost big bucks, even here, so expect about double the BIX+. Shipping wweight will be about double too.
I don't plan a macho thick platter as beyond 40mm there doesn't seem to be much gain and it's peripheral mass that matters. Maybe we can do a corian platter if it can be cnc'd to tight tolerances. Will find out later.
The Signature will be a small production of about 10 pcs at a time.
OK just thought I'd let you know what we're doing and interested to know what you think.Cheers
