I'm finding the Bix (classic? [1]) DC motor a bit on the noisy side. I'm ok with the fact there will be some noise due to the precious metal brushes, but I was wondering if this can be reduced.I noticed Brian suggested a tweak [2] a while back to help minimize this noise and I'm curious if anyone has found this a successful solution, or has alternative / additional strategies for minimizing motor noise.
I suspect I'll get around to Brian's suggestion (and if so report back), but thought I'd ask if the collective wisdom has any more input on this front.
