XO1, XO2, XO3, or XO-DAC?

I have a Micromega stage 4 and I wonder if Brian or Guido would advise on the best upgrade path for inproving the player, later maybe adding an external DAC. The case has lots of empty space for extra hardware. Thanks, tim
