I can throw in my vote for one of the most ridiculous reviews ever in Sphile.

Fremer's review of the VTL tube amp in late 2008.

In it, he made a mockery of the whole process

He brags about his sexual prowess, makes a stupid joke about being Jewish, and comments about the attractiveness of two female violinists.

You really do have a thing for Stereophile, don't you SpendorHarbeth? Either that,
or your reading comprehension is not as good as you believe it to be.

I have provided a link (below) to the review so that others can judge your
comprehension abilities for themselves.

Uh huh. Very professional indeed.

1)Coincidentally, in early October 2007 I attended a performance of the same work at Avery Fisher Hall with Dutch violinist Janine Jensen (who is much prettier than Milstein), accompanied by Lorin Maazel and the New York Philharmonic. Jensen gave a stripped-down, low-fat, ultramodern reading

2Furthermore, removing the top cover also requires removing the 11 screws—nine Phillips and two hex-head—that secure the front panel. That's a lot of screwing, and not the kind I like

3)I learned that working on cars, but how many audiophiles have done that? How many Jews, for that matter? I'm probably one of six Jews outside Tel Aviv who's done his own car work and probably one of fewer audiophiles. How many instruction manuals offer that hint? None.
