as bad you think we are,and in spite of having no socialized healthcare, still most people want to come to the USA baby!! Now that should tell you something.
If the power supply waveform isn't pretty, neither is the sound in most cases.

The United States gets a bad rap because people get upset over politics and then dump on the country. I have traveled a fair bit in the U.S. and it's a terrific country with terrific people. Indeed, every state is like a different country in and of itself. So you can't even judge the country until you've traveled at least several states. And sure there is some crime here and there and some travelers will be put off by that but it's truly blown way out of proportion by news media. Granted blown of proportion by some of the worst dimwitted news media on the planet (Ahem Fox news - which if actual Foxes ran the station would have more unbiased intelligent comments - but sub Forest Gump IQ folks need jobs too).

And health care is no one else's business except Americans'. I'm Canadian and it puzzles me how the situation wasn't addressed 60 years ago but that's a decision for Americans to address.

And I'd also like to point out that the people are not reflective of government. When I traveled and taught for two years in South Korea - I met loads of people from the military base in Seoul and worked with numerous Americans. In every case I met friendly people who would give you the shirt off their back to help you out. I certainly could not say that about my fellow Canadians who were often embarrassing on numerous fronts. Canada was better for them having left - too bad we couldn't force South Korea to keep them.

It's fine to disagree about Politics but it is really sad when people can't get along solely based on the party they like.

Do they get beaten up or murdered in a hate crime....do they drive a taxi and get robbed? You tell half a story.

Then again they could go to the middleast and end up getting bombed by an angry terrorist.
THey could to Mexico and drink the water and end up with Montezuma's revenge.
