Scozzafava drops out of NY-23, Democrat Owens still on top, barely. Tea-partiers shriek with joy. Hmmm

...as Hoffman, the Con, can run alone against the Democrat Owens.

Conservative news slant: Proof of Tea-party Conservative power, the "real" Conservative Owens will enjoy stunning and shocking win; by next year the entire country will be Conservative.

Normal news: NY 23 is and has been a red red red territory. The only shock is that the Democrat is marginally ahead at all, even with Palin and crew supporting Hoffman.

Maybe next the tea-partiers can help a chef win a cooking contest....

have been increasingly ignored and given only lip service from the Obama administration that they propelled into power. They are mad. The N.Y. district has always been a conservative Republican stronghold and my theory probably does not count there, but when observing how the Governors races in Virginia and New Jersey are shaping up, this could be the decisive reason for Republican wins over the Democrats. The Democrats cannot dismiss their Liberal base and then expect them to do the hard lifting when election time comes around.

Highlights: She voted slightly to the Right of her fellow assembly members, but Beck mouths "magic word" "Marxist."

The "pristinely" Conservative Hoffman was on a Hospital board which gladly accepted big $$ earmark.

The "pristinely" Conservative 23rd district basically lives off the local military base (Federal money) while the citizens tell themselves that they're "real" "stand-alone" "self-supporting" "Mericuns....

Let me see if I can assist you in this boringly simple matter.

Scozzafava, a Republican, dropped out of a race that is very close between a Democrat and a Conservative party candidate. That, Danny-Boy, is a fact.

Now, while it isn't etched in stone, conventional wisdom says that if a 3rd party candidate who leans to the right drops out of an election, then those 3rd party supporters will typically cast their vote for the Republican candidate.

Did you see what I just did there, Danny? I expressed an opinion. I editorialized, as it were. Am I aware that I don't have a crystal ball and may be wrong? Of course I am, Danny. But is there cause for optimism among the Conservative supporters that the Republican voters will support the Conservative candidate in opposition to the Democrat in the upcoming election? Again, conventional wisdom dictates that, yes-there is cause for optimism.

Now, I know out on the Left Coast the news is skewed, and all that Huffington post reading can cause brain damage, even to a MoonBat. But if by chance you've been following the recent "devolpments" (as Castironandrubes likes to say) in New Jersey and Virginia, you have cause for concern that the chest beating you got to enjoy for 1 year is beginning to come to an end.

Why do I say this? Well Danny, if YOU were the student of politics you pretend to be, you would admit that with all of the campaigning Obama has done for Corzine, in a state that has been Blue for a hell of a long time, the race shouldn't even be close against a candidate the Dems have outspent the Republican candidate 3:1.

But it's damn close. And I live here, and I can tell you that it's even closer than the reports you're getting. Seems highest taxes in the nation and high unemployment can do that to a Democrat no matter what state controlled media, Obama or the higher spending Democrat political machhine has to say about it.

By rights, the events unfolding in Virginia and New Jersey should leave both parties admitting a draw. But add in the fact that in New York and New Jersey there are two Conservative candidates putting up a good race against the Republican and Democratic candidates, and even a MoonBat like you has to admit that the tide is turning against the proponents of Liberalism, Socialism and Marxism that currently occupy the high places of America. Have fun while you can, go on and play that fiddle while Rome burns. Overconfidence will soon turn to bitterness.

But don't tell him. he takes his job very seriously. And look. he has a BS degree.

BS Fresno State Music Composition/Piano, grad work: UC Davis, part-time Orchestral Musician

He's so proud of it that he put it in his profile for all to see and admire. Grad work too. He's the only one in the entire world to have accomplished such enormous goals.

Me, well I'm just a poor construction worker who's apparently starving to death if it wasn't for the stimulus pkg. Since he's such a compassionate liberal I wonder if he'll send me some $$$ since he apparently makes much more as a part time orchestral musician

Is "court jester" this month's attempt to raise a wingerish smile through name calling?
After the failure of "moonbat" and whatever else has been floated over the past year, I guess it must be your turn to be the donkey.
So now I have your attention and since you have already chosen not to justify yourself, here is a plain question: why do you think it odd that an inmate put education and employment in his profile epecially something to do with music on a hifi and music forum?

He actually thinks the stimulus is working in the private sector? It's helped out banks to some extent, kept a car company aloft that should have been left to die....sure it did that. But the vast majority of the funds went to "Make Work" projects and government employees.

Does it occur to any of these MoonBats where the government gets it's money from?

Unemployment, foreclosure, bankruptcy, small business failures continue to climb. The real tax base is getting slowly destroyed. And this is a success, huh? This is stimulating?

It's a good thing he's an orchestral musician. Obama's probably looking for fiddle players while Rome burns.

Truthfully I don't think GM would have needed help,if it weren't for government overregulation and unreasonable union demands thru the years.GM has paid billions if not trillions in taxes thru the years and that 60 billion they got is a pittance in comparison to wall street and they will pay that back in time.
I look at all the families they feed and think,if they could do away with the unions, they would have a lot easier time to compete because they won't have to cow cow to their demands that made the company unprofitable. I live near several GM execs and they have all said that pension and retirements costs have killed the big 3 and,if they didn't have to pay all that money on people that no longer work there, they would have had more than enough to get thru tough times.
You couldn't borrow money to buy cars and thats why its bad. Toyota lost billions also but our government is so mismanaged that I think corporate america is basically following the same suit. The only difference is,Corporate America can't print money like the federal govt can.``
I look at the pittance the automakers got in comparison to wall street and the financial sector,I almost feel its their own money they are lending them when I considered all the money they paid thru the years. We can't forget, since 1922,GM paid the highest amount of income tax of anyone until recent years and if they would have been given a few breaks,I don't think they would have needed help. The Japanese government is always coming to the assistance of corporate Japan and keeping the yen low against the dollar to allow them to compete in the rest of the world and not to mention, they don't have the high pension costs and union rules to contend with.
If the power supply waveform isn't pretty, neither is the sound in most cases.

Read this for an insider's perspective. >>>Ratner on the auto bailouts in Fortune<<< It pretty much holds mgmt responsible for the condition of their companies prior to bailouts, not the unions or the economy. Stikes me as a rather nasty indictment esp considering the author and how he got to be the author. It'll take more than a couple of minutes to read but it's worth it if only for another perspective on the situation. You may take issue with the info presented and can be suspicious of the motives and resulting biases but it's probably not far from the truth.
