and I realized, that in between the pops and crackles, almost continuous, that what music was there was so darn good sounding, sonically I mean (of course the content was exceptional too) that I wondered just what a clean copy would sound like.... I cleaned it about three times to no avail, but what is there comes out crystal clear, in between the pops.

Well, the market is bullish for CJ&TF albums I guess -- not willing to pop $40 for what someone else calls "VG"

The 'problem' with this record is that it's got quite a few quiet passages, so any damage to the disc is very evident and distracting. I've got two used copies of "I Feel Like I'm Fixin To Die", both G to VG condition. I transferred the better one to WAV, ran a light dose of pop/click filter on the file and burned it to CD-R, so I've got a good listening copy.

BTW, if you're not familiar with The Mothers Of Invention's "We're Only In It For The Money", track it down and give it a spin. It's a parody/spoof of San Francisco hippie Psych bands, in particular Country Joe & The Fish and the aforementioned album.

Same thing on my copy of Country Joe's "Together" LP- a little bit of continuous crackle, but great sounding music and quality!

As a side note- Man I miss my Kontra A on the 'table...
