At Nonesuch.com

There is just too little room for them!

Following recent threads I was just about to order the LP + CD + MP3 package on another site when three tracks from Toussaint's "Bright Mississippi" came up. Turns out that ordering direct from Nonesuch is the cheapest alternative so far, only $25 for the package. It's on the way already. Thanks Mike!

time you listen to it. I caught a cut on the Nonesuch radio and although I recognized it immediately, it still gave me that first listen smile.

Thanks! My audio system is boxed up pending a move. This sounds nice even through the computer speakers.

The very last thing I did when moving out was disconnect the system., posted on November 4, 2009 at 15:32:39

Of course, moving across town is different than moving across country.

hahaha, try moving from CONUS to Japan with Altec Model 19's and various vintage gear... It took nearly three days to pack the records, double box the electronic and crate the speakers and power amps. The movers can pack the rest but the audio gear receives special attention and insurance :)

It actually sounds pretty good through my PC-attached speakers while I work. Wonder what the bit-rate is for the audio stream they are sending.

I usually listen to CBC Jazz thru iTunes, when I'm on the 'puter.

I'll see your Nonesuch and raise you KCSM-FM in the Bay area. Great programming 24/7, and Latin/Brazilian on Sunday afternoons.

Click on Listen Live to....listen. :--]

Don't forget that KCSM has the third largest jazz library in the world, posted on November 4, 2009 at 20:33:21

Even larger than Musikmike's

Only the Smithsonian and Rutgers (Where Dan Morgenstern teaches) have larger libraries of recorded jazz. And much of it is still in the vinyl format.

Even though we have a jazz station here in town, I listen to "yours" every chance I get. Nice station, and I was a supporter up until late last year, money being tight and all that....
