I've seen ads and articles listing the Grado Gold Prestige as a MM and I've seen them listing it as a MC. I always thought it was a MC.
Does anybody have the correct answer to this?
Thanks.

this won't tell you anything about the design. there are a few(very few) low output moving iron and moving magnet designs.

still a good reference, posted on November 2, 2009 at 06:08:17

and if you google the cartridge make and model, you can many times find specs too.

It just seems a little unnecessary given that we know for a fact that the Grado Gold is a moving iron, not moving coil cartridge. It's not like this is some mystery cartridge that little is known about. And the output specs wouldn't necessarily tell you everything you need to know anyway, many high output moving coils output specs look exactly like the outputs specs for moving magnet cartridges since they are designed to work with typical moving magnet phono preamps.

I keep my writings addressed to the ignorant, by the uninformed.

Works great , until some smart ass comes along and points out the obvious errors.

It is a moving iron design. Why don't you just check out the Grado website?
