it does get sort of repetitive, rehashing the same theme over and over. I would put this on the list for completists but not a must have.

what's irritating is the seller claiming repeatedly that this is the best copy on earth. How does he know that?

he has owned each one, taken copious notes, and digitized them all for careful scientific analysis.

"If I weren't a Miles Davis fanatic, Leon Levitt would never have sold this to me."

How much of a Miles Davis fan is this guy if he's turning around and putting it up for sale?

I wouldn't give up one of prize LPs to someone professing to be enamored of it only to see him selling.

;^)

Doubt that's the reason but there could be a legitimate one, never know, he may need the money.

That is a second press. I have a first press with the original cover art which is the same as the movie poster. Excellent record though.

I googled the movie poster and there were a few different ones and according to the closed auctions on Popsike there are only two different covers, one like the ebay auction and another on the Dutch pressing. Color me confused...

The same Jeanne Moreau photo (as on the cover) was used on a number of the posters from other European countries with different other art work/photos. Above is the original French poster.

yep! it's an official M.D. promo coffee cup we [CBS Records] used to promote the release of the "Bitches Brew" LP.
just a nugget i thought some of the Miles fans might get a kick out of.

Cheers

That looks like the same photo of Jeanne Moreau used on the record in question.

It is the same, which is why i said "(as on the cover)" and why I said noroom was correct in saying the cover was from the poster. He just may be thinking about something else when saying that record isn't the original because it is.

His is the original cover and labels. Your right in that the cover is also the movie poster. Above is the Dutch release cover.

One of my favorite soundtracks. A NM original can go for 200 to 300 on ebay (344 last summer).
