I have no affiliation with the seller and I have no insight into it's condition, but since some folks here were interested in the Bob's Devices SUT, there's one up for sale on Audiogon.

New LIST price for this model is $650. The seller is offering his at $350.

I have to say, Bob's 3440a works really well with my Bottlehead Seduction and Zu-103.

...that I bought used a couple years back. It's an excellent sounding SUT. The 1131 is better but I would take either one and be very satisfied.

No kidding.
I bought one from Bob just a few months back when I purchased my Graham Slee Reflex M at his old price. I turn around about a month later and it's nearly doubled. It's true that timing is everything.

I'm glad I built mine for about $200 (with an even nicer case).

I'm waiting in hiding for an 1131 to come on the used market.

Your wishes have just come true. There's one on A'Gon (if you dare go 'over there') right now for $825...You know, the usual I have no affiliation and all that.

wring up some CineMag transformers. First, you cannot buy the 1131 “Blue Series” transformers. 2nd, the schematics found all over the internet are woefully lacking and only offer a rudimentary approach to the wiring. When compared to these “generic” wired CineMag SUT’s, the construction practices that Bob’s Devices employs allows his SUT’s to eclipse stock wired examples (at least the examples I have heard). Just check out the 2 Stereophile Art Dudley reviews to get a glimpse into the attention to detail and expensive parts Bob’s Devices uses.

CineMag President David Geren recently gave an audio industry presentation in California during which he displayed and demonstrated a Bob’s Devices SUT. After the presentation, he had to remain behind for quite some time to field questions about and praise for the Bob’s Devices SUT.

I'm sure there are some poor DIY examples out there but the two DIY Cinemag 3440a SUT's I have heard compared to Bob's were at least equal or potentially better. This was not intended to be a SUT shootout. I stumbled in to a listening session where we were comparing various 103r body materials. All three 3440a SUTs seemed better than my factory built K&K but the difference was less than I expected. (My K&K was not in the shootout so it was based on memory which is not as good as it used to be.) All comparisons were on a multi arm rig running two similarly modified Denon 103r cartridges. These SUTs were fabricated by a couple of DIY Bottlehead regulars and used parts equal or better than Bob. My guess is they were hand soldered. There is no blackmagic. All of the 3440a units sounded great. I think the key is good parts and thoughtful execution. The 1131 is a different game since I don't know if there is exclusive commercial availability to 1131 assemblies.

I just bought the Blue version, the 3440AH from Bob for my Lyra Skala and Denon 103R, which is the one Bob recommended. Love it. Everything is so filled with drama. The first 10 hours were a little rough, but it sounded nice shortly after that.

That Bob's CineMag 3440A is no longer listed but there's a guy from Japan selling his prototype Bob's Devices Cinemag 1131. Search on "Cinemag".

No, I was referring to the 1131 on there right now. I was just letting Jack know it is available, but it doesn't look like he's been here for a while to respond...

Jaysawyer I saw your heads up and I appreciate it. My daughter's emergency took care of that for a while.

Oh, I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope all's okay and it's not too serious...
