Any clue how does one identify that the Transformers inside of the AU-111 are originals?

Any picture of the inside for those who own it and generous to share?

Thank you.

What is so special about this Integrated Amp that modern technology has not surpassed it at the same price point?

Apart from its vintage value arising from age and rarity, is the sound that analogue as to be able to beat those like for eg.(no bias here) Audio Research 2 component (Amp + Pre) of similar price point now.

From those who own one or had the privilege to hear one; do let us have your sincere comments both subjective and objective about the sound reproduction/ Cut out the crap on nostalgia! Your generosity of experience of it much appreciated.

Cheers and have a great weekend!

I agree with you the new/newer Audio Research gear is good stuff!
I do not agree with you about vintage not a better value. There are a few vintage amps as good or better.
A newer ARC amp can be had for ~$1500.00. A duce and a few others can be had rebuilt for the same price that will out preform the ARC at that price point. At least in my experience that is true.

They look a lot like the transformers in my Pioneer tube integrated amp and my Japan made Lafayette receiver. I wonder of if a lot of the Japanese companies used them. They all seem to use the same circuits!
