Howdy- I just bought a Accuphase T-100 minty condition fully cleaned and aligned from AudioProz.. in your opinion is the Accuphase T-100 equal or better in overall sonics than a Mac 70 series,71,74 or 78?

Thanks

I think it has more 3-dimensionality than the Mac, which can be flatter front to back. The Mac is also a bit tipped down in the highs and the T-100 is not. The T-100 is one tuner I will never sell.

Thanks.. well my Accuphase T-100 arrived today and I'm very very impressed with the overall sound. I went ahead and bought a minty McIntosh MR-77 w/cabinet which will arrive in a few days. After I A/B the two,I will sell of one.

Cheers,
Robert

I have a MR77 and really like it. However, given the age it will need to be checked over to make sure it is up to spec. I'm hearing too many of these classic Mc SS tuners that have not been serviced and they sound rolled off, 2-dimensional, lack detail and separation, sensitivity, quieting are all suffering.
