What does "aged" mean ?

Got an hp 12ax7 tube today made by RCA and as you can see in pic it says the tube is aged. Is that possibly hp lingo for saying it's had a burn in testing period before being released to be used by their repair techs? Just an educated guess on my part but I have never seen this before today anyone know for sure? This tube anything special? Sitting here on the Group W bench |
