How good are Herbie's UltraSonic SS-9 tube dampers compared to the EAT tube dampers, I'm currently using the EAT's on 6DJ8 and 12AT7 tubes. The EAT's got a great review in Hi-Fi+ but didn't do too well in Herbie's comparisons with other tube dampers. Anyone find that EAT's suffer sonically. Thanks.

Regards,
Mike

I've used his tube dampers with my 6dj8s for years and give them high marks. For me, the results were more audible as I worked my way up their food chain. They increase clarity, extend the sound spectrum and soundstage, have livelier transients and better present the feel of the venue.

Why not start by giving your own experience with these?

"The EAT's got a great review in Hi-Fi+ "

I am more interested in your review.

I suggest that you call Herbies Audio Lab and ask for specific recommendations.
Try the dampers and if by any chance you do not like what you hear, send themt back for a full refund.
IMO, you will not regret trying Herbie's dampers.
