Just need to wire it up...
Output tranny is a 3.5K Edcor,....its huge and I'm hoping the bass really comes thru...JJ 2A3-40 for the final and Seimens C3g input driver in triode, Lundahl Interstage coupled, K&K CCS loaded...Mu-Metal in the front bell of the PT to cut down on EMI to the Rectifier...Thanks to the "helpful" members for the help they provided with this project. If it sounds as good as it looks I'll be happy... :o)

Bottom pics and feedback on how it sounds to come... (Go Navy!)

Aha,
So it wasn´t a 2A3 amp you where building ;-). 3,5k primary indicates you are aware of the fact that JJ 2A3-40 is their 300B with parallelled heaters instead of series connected.

Thats one of the benefits...
Internally, the JJ-2A3 is nothing more than a 300B with a 2.5V filament

Let us know how the JJ sound compare to the vintage 2a3 . I might give them a try my self .
i actualy run my 2a3 amp with the 3k trannies so the JJ will give me a little more funs.

slownlow, hi. Gee, it looks like a gem. Classic vacuum tube design. Clean lines and careful layout. Appearance reveals an inner beauty that no amount of gilding can improve. You'll like the JJ 2A3-40 tubes i think. Congratulations and Happy Listening. The double diode looks like a 5U4 or is it a 5R4? The base looks like Micanol.

Well.... (lol),

You know how these things go....once I start slinging the solder its anybodies guess what it will look like under the hood...the goal though is to try and get it as neat as possible as long as it benefits the sonics!

Navy won, but the Irish came back strong during the end...

Yeah watched the game. Quite entertaining. I know Charlie Weir is a nice guy, maybe even a good recruiting coach. But, he does seem to be a step behind opponent's play, at times.

I try to make things neat. Maybe too obsessive. As tone, low noise, & reliability is the ultimate judge. I guess after getting some units returned to me & saying: "Man, who did this abortion-of-a-setup?" I've taken the mil spec approach to layout. Does make fixing the thing, at a later date, easier.

Good job. Enjoy the tunes, through the amp!
