Vitamin Q VS. K40

Michael Samra Dealer Posts: 36118 Location: saginaw michigan Joined: January 30, 2005	Both are excellent but I prefer the vitaman Q I think in many cases..This is such a tough decision because the vit Qs and west caps are rare now but they have a character about them thats all their own and they do mix well with other caps.My friend uses vitaman Qs along with IAR wonder caps and it sounds very very good..

Michael Samra Dealer Posts: 36118 Location: saginaw michigan Joined: January 30, 2005	I prefer vitamin Qs in the citation 2s and in the macs because they have a character all their own that just does everything so perfect..The westcaps are very good also..Its really a close call those between the k40 and vitaman Q but I would give the edge to the vit Qs but not by a lot in most amps..They both are superb caps and possess a lot of same character that pio caps typically bare.

iamthanik@hotmail.com Audiophile Posts: 120 Joined: May 9, 2005	Thank U so much Michael. Right now I have 196P vitamin Q in my amp, the K40y-9 will be arrived next week. For me I prefer Vitamin Q over most of modern capacitors I have; Hovland, Jensen Paper Tube Copper, Auricap, etc.

I hear ya..The vitaman Q caps are just so involving and they have a way of addicting you to that sound thats so elegant and then you seem to put all the other caps you have in the has been pile..I have everything in it from siderials to auricaps to hovlands to sonic crafts to kimbers and solens and I only use those others for power supply bypass or an input caps.The k40s are pleasing tho so let us know what you think when you get them.
