I had to a few times after what I did doh doh doh doh I was playing lets a/b phono stages and I blew up my Creek OBH8SE I um.. er ..hooked up the Rega power supply to the Creek and the smell of napalm in da morning . So here is the deal I use to repair speakers and I have done many a minor repairs to electronics as well but never say built an amp from scratch my point being that I feel comfortable pokin around inside the Creek .From what it looks like inside the Creek is I blew up a Diode right where the DC is supposed to come into the unit . I can replace this easily and the unit has no other apparent damage .Can anyone tell me exactly what diode the was that burned baby burned? . The Creek power supply is 24V DC 30MA .If you own a Creek or kinda bein a techhead just know I would appreciate it.

What is the output of the Rega PS? Might help explain what you actually did. If the Rega PS is AC out and the Creek is expecting DC in and there are electrolytic capacitors in the DC input path the caps could blow up due a short circuit. AC thru the caps to ground.
